Jackson is doing well, and God-willing we will be heading home tomorrow. A lot has transpired in one week...a lot of good and necessary things. Jackson's pleural effusion led to a resolution of a previously hidden problem, our medicine and feeding schedule has been simplified, and (believe it or not) Mason and I were able to get some wonderful, much-needed sleep. Thank you for each and every prayer! God is good.
Praise the Lord!!! what a wonderful update. Will continue to keep you all in prayer
ReplyDeleteYes, I love that most recent photo of Jackson- he's such a little character. :) Thank God that he is able to go home, and that this stent is making him feel so good that he can sleep soundly, and so can his parents! Re: the blood thinner, I've been on the oral coumadin blood thinner for 20 years now, and had no problems. There have been several occasions when I had to give myself the blood thinner shots (it was required for me to switch to those before and after having a tooth pulled a number of years ago). The shot itself didn't hurt, but the thing I didn't like was the anticipation of giving myself the shot (I'm the same one who hates the puff in the eye they do at the eye doctor's :) So I imagine little Jackson doesn't mind those shots too much, esp. since he doesn't have to give it to himself. God bless you all. -Laura
